The workshop
Since 2009, Maï has specialized in encaustic. She doesn't work with an iron: her work is built up from several layers of beeswax, which she fuses together using a heat gun or gas torch. That is exactly what you learn in the workshop.
For a few years now, Maï has mostly worked one on one, so she can respond to your personal wishes. This is the basic principle, and many other options are open for discussion.

The studio
Maï's studio is located in the 3 Suisse building at Ringbaan Oost 8 in Tilburg, at Ateliers Oost 8, where about 20 artists work. You are welcome to come by for an introductory conversation.
Free parking is available in the car park next to the Naaykens buildings, at Lovensedijk 61.
On location
A workshop can also take place on location. For example, the encaustic workshop with shellac at Galerie Art Valley in Sint-Pieters-Kapelle, in Belgium.
